Retro ‘Minimakit’ Wooden Construction Block Set

This 54 piece construction toy includes colour coded, wooden rods with connecting discs enabling many different models that swing roll or move. The press-kit rods easily connect to the discs and no tools are required. This set is based on an old European construction toy. Some plans with colour coding are included in the box. Kewpie Doll 20cm

Kewpie dolls, first manufactured in 1912, were modelled after comic strip characters drawn by Rose O'Neil starting in 1909. The cartoon characters were baby "Cupid" figures, and the word "Kewpie" is a variation of "Cupid." It's one of the earliest and most successful examples of mass toy marketing.

Spinning tops are among the oldest toys ever discovered by archaeologists. A clay top unearthed in Iraq was dated to 35th century BC—nearly six thousand years ago.
